Hubballi: Police Seize Over 1 KG of Gold and Silver Ornaments in Dharwad for Illegal Transport

Hubballi: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) and Vidyagiri police on Wednesday, acting on credible information, intercepted a bus near SDM College in Dharwad, uncovering a case of unauthorized jewelry transport.

During the search, a man identified as Abhishek was found illegally transporting gold and silver ornaments from Mumbai to Hubballi, intended for local jewelers. The jewelry, including approximately 1 kg 101 grams of gold and 1 kg 463 grams of silver, was being transported without any accompanying bills or GST documentation.

Authorities swiftly confiscated the jewelry, and a case has been registered at the Vidyagiri police station. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
